Project 2

D-10 mbt V2
Project Overview
The D-10A MBT, a more advanced version of the regular D-10 (D-10D) MBT. This adaptation of the D-10 removes the need of a tank crew to operate the tank from the inside (although a tank crew could be placed inside if needed). This version also favors the addition of extra sensors and cameras to allow the tank to be controlled remotely (sensors and cameras also allow for easier detection of hostile forces). It could be deployed into contaminated areas without putting the crew at risk due to there being no need for a crew inside.
However further improvements can be made to the D-10 by removing storage containers, adding additional armor plating, improving the engine performance and adding an onboard computer system (in cooperation with TESLA and their smart driving computers)  making the tank 80-100% remotely controlled or even autonomous. This upgrade could also allow the crew to be located inside the haul of the tank instead of the turret protecting them even more.

This being the D-10A (A standing for autonomous), would have even more sensors around its turret and haul designating it as a new SMART TANK, with a set of mounting points located on each side of the turret also being able to be used as a seating area for troops (could be used as a extraction vehicle in rare cases, Note: 6 - 8 troops plus 2 inside)

Obvious concerns of the tank being electronically controlled are present here due to regular tanks being more mechanical than electronic with reliability and ease of repair being in question. The role of this tank is to be an MBT however with an upgraded engine (or electronic motor - experimental idea, Note: inspired by the Tesla cyber truck) it could theoretically be much faster than modern MBTs meaning it could be adopted as hybrid use vehicle for urban combat or combat which would most likely result in some number of casualties.

Note: it is to be mentioned the point of this project is to reduce the possibility of crew casualties, an issue which was bought up with the development of non-NATO tanks. As well as to add SMART Armoured vehicles to current tank squadrons. Note: systems such as radar mounted on top of the tank have not yet been mounted (although mounts have been created, further testing from my side is being done if these systems can be located elsewhere)

Also to mention this tank being a hybrid/ fully electric MBT is to reduce the use of fossil fuels and slowly reduce the production of greenhouse gasses (it is predicted oil will run out in the year of 2060).

- still to be finished
